A little about my background. I have always had a strong work ethic this coming from my parents. I was the first person in my family to go to finish college. While I was in High School my parents separated but to this day they are friends. Their continued positive effort and kindness towards each other is humbling. While this circumstance is unusual it has shaped the way I live my life to be kind and compassionate. I went on to finish college and pursue a career in finance. I met my husband through a family friend and we bought a home in Olney. We were blessed with a son in July of 2016. Family is very important and we are so fortunate to have many local relatives. My father in-law lives with us, having him so close to watch his grandson grow up has been wonderful.
Since starting our family I have been fortunate to work part time. The balance between taking care of my family and work has been great. One of my interests is volunteering in the community and for the past several years Junior League of Washington has helped to connect me with ways to serve. I am also interested in eating local, I joined a farm crop share and the healthy array of produce was great, I tried new recipes and nourished my family.
